Extend Windows 7 Trial

If you are like me and love to install trail before you buy versions this is a good handy command to help you extend the life of your Microsoft Windows 7 trial expiration date.




Windows Activation Area

1. Check the current experation date of your current 
Microsoft Windows 7  trial.

How?



    • Click Start  Windows Start.

    • Right Click on Computer.

    • Click Properties

    • Under Windows Activation it should state how many days remaining you have.

2. Click on Start Windows Start > RUN. 




      • [Tip: If you do not see 'Run' on your keyboard press these 2 keys together  

      • "Windows Key key  + the letter "R" on the keyboard. It should open the RUN box.

      • Type CMD in the RUN Box as shown below > OK.

3. The MSDOS Command Prompt will open type the following command:


  • slmgr -rearm  [Tip: yes there is a space between slmgr -rearm]

4. You should see a prompt that says the command completed successfully



  • click OK.

  • REBOOT your computer.

5. After your reboot;



  • Click Start Windows Start.

  • Right Click on Computer.

  • Click Properties.

  • Click on "Activate Windows Now".

6. Follow the remaining steps to re-activate your trial for another 30days! Enjoy!




Tip: To see how many Re-arms you have left:


  • Click Start Windows Start.



  • click RUN.



  • Type slmgr.vbs -dlv.



  • click ok.
