If you design websites then you know how trying to preview a website before going live is a crucial step into designing a great website. Some designers refresh while already live (I do it!) but it is not safe for visitors with high volume traffic. You need something you can preview live, test, fix bugs and improve quality with out sacrificing your server time, load times as well as customer experience with refreshes.
I use XAMPP!
XAMPP is a great FREE tool that lets you basically build a virtual Apache server that allows comes equipped with MySQL via PHPAdmin as the UI.
Hope I got that in the right order lol - Anyways, this thing is awesome. Easy to setup, plus they improved XAMPP to include installers via BitNami.
