Hackers Can Spy Your Every Call And Track Your Movement By Using Your Phone Number

Hackers Can Spy Your Every Call As Well As Track Your Movement Just Using Your Phone Number

Now lets forget about the old complicated hacking tricks – discover to someone through the phone calls as well as texts and tracking their movements just like as simple as the hackers are knowing their phone numbers.

Even the security experts say that breaking the security into a smartphone is easier than you think -- and they have search out on a US Congressman's phone calls to prove it.

In an CBS interview with 60 minutes Karsten Nohl who is a German computer engineer told  that all the hacker requires a phone number.

And in the interview Nohl says that hackers can "track [the owner's] whereabouts, know where they go for work...spy on whom they call and what they say over the phone. And you can read their texts."
Only just by knowing the phone number of an off-the-shelf iPhone as well as it is   developing a popular network defects. Even Nohl was able to discover on Representative Ted Lieu of California (who agreed to participate in the demo) -- then they traced his calls with "60 Minutes" and followed his movements.

As well as Nohl added that "Any choices that a congressman could've made, choosing a phone, choosing a pin number, installing or not installing certain apps, have no influence over what we are showing because this is targeting the mobile network."

Automatically they also logged in the number of every phone which is called Congressman Lieu as well. Even Lieu said about this hacking list that there are presents many confidential information in a typical congressman's phone such as it could include other members of Congress and elected officials.

Lieu also said, "First, it's really creepy. And second, it makes me angry. They could hear any call for pretty much anyone who has a smartphone. It could be stock trades you want someone to execute. It could be called with a bank. Last year, the president of the United States called me on my cellphone. And we discussed some issues. So if the hackers were listening in, they would know that phone conversation. And that's immensely troubling."

There is a considerable risk to the political leaders, business executives as well as to the high-ranking officials whose phone conversations which are private that could obtain a high price in the world of Dark We. Nohl also says that the SS7 defect is really an open secret between the agencies of world intelligence. He also remarks that the key error lies in itself in the mobile network.

According to Nohl that all of the phones are the same and no one phone is more secure for the hacking purpose. That’s why Nohl said, "Mobile networks are the only place in which the problem can be solved. There is no global policing of SS7. Each mobile network has to move -- to protect their customers on their networks. And that is hard."

John Hering who is a hacker and co-founder of the mobile security company Lookout also gathered a group of top hackers in a hotel room with the team of 60 Minutes. The group of hackers who were in Las Vegas for Defcon. They are one of the largest hacker conferences in the world and they try to recognize the vulnerabilities of security to preventing from the hacking tricks to the public.

That’s why John Hering said, "Our goal was to show what's possible. So people can really understand if we don't address security issues, what the state of the world will be. We live in a world where we cannot trust the technology that we use."
