TeamViewer | Remote Connection

Do you need to remote connect to your computer at home from work or a remote location?

TeamViewer is by far the easiest remote connection option you will find any where on the internet.

TEAMVIEWER | FREE REMOTE CONNECTION

TeamViewer offers a free non-commercial use remote connection for users who need to remote connect on the fly. It's fast and very user friendly. As long as you are not using it for business related purposes it's free. Maybe you need to help your mom and dad back home with some email, reports or virus scanning. Just visit their website HERE and download; now you can either choose to run it or install it to your computer. I suggest Running it since you might not be sure when you will use it again.

Once opened:

  • Click "Connections"

  • Click "Invite partner"

  • Choose "Email" or "Copy to Clipboard"

  • If you save it to "Clipboard" cut and paste it to who you need to connect to

  • Have them run it as well, and provide you the "ID and PASSWORD"

  • Enter this information on your end where it says "Partner ID"

  • Click "Connect to partner

  • Enter the password that "they" provided to you

  • Bam! Now you are connected to their computer

Enjoy, if you like TeamViewer and own a computer repair shop consider TeamViewer for all your remote connection needs.

Fix a Rotated Display

How to Fix a Rotated Display
Fix Rotated Display

Seeing your Windows display rotated and not knowing how to fix the rotation is frustrating, so I put this little post here with some steps on how to correct a rotated display on your Windows computer.

Problem:

Screen is rotated.

Applies to:

Windows (All versions)

How does this happen you ask?

You may make your screen rotated and you might not even know it - it all starts with Microsoft Windows hot keys and you may not even realize your are doing it.

The keys you maybe pressing are (CTRL + ALT + any arrow key)

CTRL + ALT + Up arrow = will set the display to 0 degrees.

CTRL + ALT + Left arrow = will set the display to 90 degrees.

CTRL + ALT + Right arrow = will set the display to 270 degrees.

CTRL + ALT + Down arrow  = will set the display to 180 degrees.

If the above is not working for you try 1 of 3 of these alternatives.

  1. If you "Right click" any where on your desktop - a pop up menu will appear and you may see this:
    Display Rotation Fix

  2. Right click any where on your desktop > then click on "Properties" > display properties box will open then click on "Settings" > then click on "Advanced" > you will see a tab that is related to your video card (i.e.. Intel or NVIDIA) this will open the graphics display card properties, which will have a setting for you to change the rotation to the screen.

  3. Click Start  > Click control panel > in here you should be able to locate your video card control panel, once you locate it, there will be a option in the "General Settings" that allows you to change rotation.

Hope this helps you resolve this issue!
