To verify that Windows Firewall is enabled

1. 
   Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

   In Control Panel, click Security Center.
   
   
   
   
   
   • 
     If Windows Firewall shows On, you are protected.
     
     
     
   
   
   • 
     If Windows Firewall shows OFF, it has been disabled.
