Looking for those images
that are copyright free?

You should consider using Public Domain Images!

What are Public Domain images? A copyright status for media files on Commons that the copyright has expired or released into the public domain by the copyright holders.

Most public domain images allow you to use images for commercial purposes without attributing the original author or source. All though you may not use such images for “Adult” websites, you can pretty much use them for any of your projects: printouts, websites, products to sell and more.

There are quite a few Public Domain image sources out there, but before you start looking you should consider reading the CC0 (Creative Commons Deed)

Free Public Domain Images

“The person who associated a work with this deed has dedicated the work to the public domain by waiving all of his or her rights to the work worldwide under copyright law, including all related and neighboring rights, to the extent allowed by law. You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission.”

This does not mean you may copyright the image if you find it, there is a original owner out there somewhere who has waived their copyrights for you to use.

To read the entire CC0 statement visit (http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/legalcode).
