Welcome back, I have been working with the Samsung S4 SGH-i337 from AT&T to use it with Straight talk.

This will put you on KitKat 4.4.4!

Here is some few things I have found that may help you out.

- As you all know this phone was released: 26 April 2013. Sure this thread is a little late but it's meant for those who are seeking how to Restore their Samsung S4 to stock rom and more.

Requirements:

You understand that downloading and installing custom roms (including this stock rom) may brick(break) your phone, please read all instructions carefully when flashing ANY phones with custom Roms or Add ons.

You understand we hold no liability in what you do with your phone, including but not limited to: Running this tutorial.

**Thank you to all the XDA team who contributed to this stock rom, muniz_ri and guut13 for posting the thread and adding the files, instructions needed for this download: geohot for the root, muniz_ri for the kernals! If I missed anyone, know that you are appreciated!Thank you!

Please ready EVERYTHING!

Install Instructions:

  • You will need a PC (Windows 7 and above) and a Good solid working Micro USB Cable)

Files you will need:

Explanation:

  • Odin allows you to flash(install) the Stock Rom directly to the phone via Micro USB cable.

  • I337UCUFNB1_4.4_Stock_Odin_tar - is the STOCK rom you are installing back to the phone.

  • - 2400258.zip - 4.4.4 Update (You can get this OTA but here it is for manual update)

Step 1:

  • Extract the files of I337UCUFNB1_4.4_Stock_Odin_tar (using WinRAR or any other zip program)

how to restore samsung s4
Odin 3.09 - Restore Samsung S4

  • Mine shows ID:COM and below that is: 0:[COM5] I will not go into details of what this is but this means you have a good connection with your USB cable & Odin.

  • If you do not see this, make sure you use a good Micro USB cable or try another USB Port on your computer. If you still have troubles please read this here.

  • Congratulations! You have passed Step 1

  • Downloading files, connecting your phone to Odin and making sure you have a good connection!

Step 2:

  •  While in Odin, you will see "AP" click on the "AP" button and locate your extracted (I337UCUFNB1_4.4_Stock_Odin_tar) file. (This will freeze / not respond for about 1-2 minutes while the file imports, please do not close Odin)

Odin 3.09 - Restore Samsung S4

  • Once you have the file loaded in AP boot your phone into "Download mod"

  • To do this, Power your phone off (Shutdown)

  • hold the Volume DOWN and turn the phone on

  • You will get a warning screen - once you see that, press the Volume UP to enter download mode.

  • Wait a few seconds for it to load and then hit (Start in Odin)

  • Wait for the files to install (10-20 minutes tops) and your phone will reboot. Do not close Odin until it says (PASS).

  • The phone will take another 5-7 minutes on the AT&T screen for it to load, then you will be prompted to setup your phone like a factory reset.

  • Once you get passed all the screens, transfer the file:

  • 2400258.zip to your internal storage SD card (I made a new folder and put it in there from 'My computer > Devices & Drives > Card')

  • Now you have the 2400258.zip on your internal storage, POWER OFF (Shutdown) your phone.

  • Press and hold the Volume UP key and turn your phone on.

  • You will see little blue letters in the top left of the screen saying it is booting to recovery.

  • Once in recovery us the VOL Down key to navigate to: "apply update from external storage".

  • Locate the file: 2400258.zip and select it, let it install and your phone will reboot and take 5-7 minutes to work from the AT&T screen.
